It would be helpful to have a counter tracking the time elapsed for local analysis and then to later show the total time taken to complete visible on the UI so users will know how long it takes to run. Currently if I have a large sized project and I run the local processing I may leave it running over night or over lunch and when I return I don't see exactly how long it took to have an idea for future calculations.
Related is the ability for the program to forecast an ETA for completion.
The time tracking and display of total time should not necessarily be on a pop up window that needs to be cleared by the user. It would then require extra input by the user. Maybe there is space somewhere on the UI that can display the info so functionality of the process isn't changed and users don't have to clear a popup window to proceed with their design and edits.
Benefits to this is it allows users to clearly get an idea on how long it takes to process. They can then judge when is a good time to run the calculations. Also they can use the information to help with computer upgrades to see if it makes a difference.
